A daytrip to Annecy. A beautiful old city in eastern France, 40km south of Geneva. Nicknamed the “Pearl of French Alps” in Raoul Blanchard’s monograph describing its location between the lake Annecy and mountains. With a population of 120,000 people the city still has an old, middle-age atmosphere and didn’t loose its majesty and old buildings through the centuries. We got lucky and went there on a Saturday with a flea market going on. Local people and artists were selling old craftsmanship and paintings. I would come back any day.
